Eau de Cologne

Contrary to its name, Eau de Cologne for men was not invented by a French perfumer in Cologne, but by an Italian craftsman. Of course, it was in the city of Cologne. To put it simply, the difference between this water and a perfume lies in its composition: instead of an upholstered bouquet, eau de Cologne is a "water" made of alcohol and essential oils. That's why it's so fresh and strong. At a time when so many powerful perfumes were being sprayed, eau de Cologne came into its own because it was different and gave the impression of perfect cleanliness.
And the men's rituals associated with this product are unmistakable: shave, aftershave, cologne.
Today, of course, the alcohol content has been lowered (because the aim is not to totally dehydrate the skin either), and the bouquets of essential oils are varied. There are many perfume houses making eau de Cologne (starting with the original, which continues to offer its authentic eau), and many are Italian.
Cosma-Parfumerie mainly offers colognes by Aqua di Parma, a house that offers a wide range of bold, toned waters. For more oriental fragrances, piqued on Asian teas, Bvlgari has successfully bottled three teas on our shelves: green tea, white tea and red tea, with their dedicated bouquet of spicy, powerful notes that accompany this central accord to deliver a sophisticated, modern Cologne.
In other words, men's cologne remains a classic that has evolved along with its wearer's archetype.
